Preparing for Aluminum: An Audi Perspective @ Audi Training Center
Dec 10 @ 6:00 pm – Dec 10 @ 8:00 pm

“Preparing for Aluminum: An Audi Perspective”

Presented by Mark Allen, Specialist, Collision Programs & Workshop Equipment – Audi of North America, Inc.
REGISTER HERE“Preparing for Aluminum: An Audi Perspective” will allow association members to get an inside look into the realities of this type of repair before they elect to make the financial and logistical commitment to move forward. In Allen’s mind, making the right decision regarding implementing aluminum involves much more than simply seeing if you have the money to invest in proper tools. Thanks to a new collaborative effort with WMABA, Audi is opening the doors to this unique facility to give members an intimate look at the requirements and techniques necessary for shops to become Audi aluminum-certified. Come find out why!

The event will be hosted by Audi representatives Mark Allen (collision programs and workshop equipment specialist) and Shawn Hart (collision instructor and curriculum designer).
With interest in aluminum repair at an all-time high, WMABA members have an opportunity to take advantage of the first (and currently only) Audi Learning Center in the United States. Conveniently located in Ashburn, VA, the Center was launched in May, 2013 to offer Audi-specific repair training to technicians from across the country. To date, the Center has trained nearly 200 Collision Repair Technicians on manufacturer-specific procedures to ensure better repairs in the field.
Attendees will gain insight into the factors they need to consider before becoming certified, including the types of tools and equipment needed to make a smooth and professional transition.
Additionally, the event will feature a special walk-through of the Ashburn facility’s 5,900- square-foot Collision Cell.
